We have some projects ongoing in our yard. This weekend we top dressed the grass. We also just finished building raised garden beds in the back and some planters for the side of our house. I have a long specific list of plants I’m looking for this week. I’ll share as the work progresses. I hope you enjoy beautifying your home too!
Here is a list of great nurseries on the eastside:
- Molbak’s Garden Plus Home in Woodinville – local plants and expert guidance if needed, they have literally everything you need to make your yard beautiful. This is probably the most “famous” nursery on the eastside. It can be crowded on weekends.
- Gray Barn Nursery and Garden Center in Redmond – Native plants and helpful service, they even have a playground for little ones to climb on while you shop. They are very nice when you go, but we found this week that their website product list is not always accurate so call ahead if you are looking for something specific.
- Wells Medina Nursery in Bellevue – Great for finding big trees, very healthy plants. This one might have slightly higher prices in my opinion.
- Bellevue Nursery – a landmark for 70+ years with excellent customer service. It’s a little bit smaller but super friendly and easy to find.
- Squak Mountain Greenhouse and Nursery in Issaquah – known for lovely plants and reasonable prices. This is one that I want to explore more.
- The Nursery at Mount Si in North Bend – good variety of plants, friendly people. As I’ll be shopping more this week, this will be the very first place I go. I think there is a very good chance they will have most of the plants I’m looking for.
When my yard is beautiful it makes me happy. Have a lovely day.
